After 3 weeks of INTENSE itching and infections at the incision sites I found out what was going on.
This is to help others who may be in my predicament and for those who may be interested :)
So my incision (port) did get infected afterall. And it started with me being allegic/sensitive to the adhesive and steri strips. I went on antibiotics and they didn't work so now I am on round two of stronger antibiotics. Infection looks better but the red welps were covering my whole stomach instead of just small red circles around ea*****ision. So surgeon sent me to a dermatologist. Turns out I had a hive like reaction to the adhesive and steri strips. She put me on a high dosage steriod cream that I apply 2 a day, allegra 1 a day, and a strong allergy pill at night. It is finally lightening up and doesn't itch near as bad YAY!
So if any of ya'll have a reaction like this post surgery hopefully my post will help. Oh and I asked the derm why I got a reaction this time since I have had at least 3 surgeries using the stuff before with no reaction and she said it builds up in your system and then your body reacts to it. So it isn't uncommon to be fine with it during one or two surgeries and then react to it after that. FYI.
