Realize band slipped twice

I was wondering if anyone has the same situation as me.  My band was put in  August 2008. In June 2009 - my band slipped. Doing great, losing weight and now I recently had bronchitis with a real bad coughing spells. I also thought I had a virus - everyone around me was sick with vomiting. Find out - that my band slipped again - not as bad as the first. Now that my weight is down(not were I want to be) - they surgeon does not know what to do. He is sending me for a upper endoscopy  but he is still unsure on how to treat this situation. Any one has any word of advise. I am completely beside my self. I feel like a failure and right now I also feel my surgeon is no help.

Hi I hate that you are having to go through this. I was just wondering how can you tell if your band has slipped?
And I hope your Dr. gets on track and figures out the solution to your problem. And no you are not a failure at all.

The first time my band slipped - I had horrible acid reflux  and could not tolerate any liquids.  It was weird one day I couldnt tolerate liquids or food , the next day able to tolerate both.
This most recent episode - I just felt horrible - I thought I had the virus that all my friends had. Very nausea and vomiting .After a week, I called the dr and got a upper gi done.  Right now, My doctor is clueless - I think he just doesnt  know enough.  He told me - that I was his first patient to have their band slipped twice. I talked to his partner - he said the same thing.
