I need some advice on what to do
I need a little advice before I travel 3 hours for a fill on Monday.. I'm not really sure what cc I'm at but I would say at least 6-7 or something like that. It will be a year in Feb since my band surgery. Some days I can never get full. I mean some days I can eat all day long and I mean big portions and never get full and then there are days like today. I couldn't eat anything because I would take one bite and it would be stuck for hours. The last fill I got I was too tight and had to go back and have it removed. The Dr. said that he would give me a .5cc this time if I wanted it and see if that would help but he didn't think I was ready for a whole cc so he took it out. Should I go back on Monday and try to get the .5cc and see if that helps or do you think I'm already restricted enough? I don't know what to do... I had only lost a litle bit since surgery and I've gained all of it back and then some more on top of that grrrrr. I just need some advice..
Thanks for the reply nkara. I just didn't know what to do because I don't want to be too tight again but at the same time you want to be tight enough. I got weighed today and I've GAINED 25 pounds in the last 4 months. I mean I've got to do something here and there is nobody to blame but myself I know that. Maybe this fill will give me the feeling I'm looking for....Thanks again for taking the time to read my post..
Since you travel 3 hours for a fill this is my advice. See if you're Doctor can do the fill under fluoroscope. While it may be more expensive, your insurance may cover it - and it's the best way to actually tell your restriction.
Now if that can't be done, then I would suggest doing the .5cc over the 1cc - here's why .. if you're too tight, and can't keep anything down you will need to travel back 3 hours to get unfill. An over-tightest is the worst feeling - especially if you're so tight you can't keep water down.
Good luck - and let us know how you do.
Good Luck on your Journey !!
