Is this band a gimmick or what?????
I really thought I would have lost something after my first postop visit but gained 1 lb in 6 weeks but Doc wasn't concerned. But after my first fill I thought I would have more restriction - not..... so I have been eating off track and geting disgusted. Just thought it would give me better portion control!!!!!
Your band is a tool, give it time to work for you. Once you get good restriction it will limit the amount of food you can eat. Until then the trick is to measure your food (about a cup or less) and eat until you no long feel hungry. Eat a small protein snack every few hours (e.g., cheese). Make sure you get your fluids & protein in each day. As long as you stay under 1200 calories a day you will loose weight. After you get restriction you will eat less than 800 calories a day.
Yeah, I totally agree. I actually use the Nike slogan a lot myself too. Whenver I am tired or making excuses I think "JUST DO IT!" I just started The 30 Day Shred DVD to mix it up a bit and it's kicking my butt. My goal is to do it for 30 days straight and lose 10 pounds this month. I have lost 37 pounds since surgery Sept 16, and 70 total. I am loving life with my band, even if it is frustrating at time, it's WAY WAY better then life without it. :)
Keep up the great work and inspiring others!!! :D
