Now that you've healed from surgery, you've hit what we call "bandster hell" It's the period before your fill when it's all willpower.

Try and make sure you're getting your protein shakes in and hang in there until you get a fill and some restriction. It gets better

My nut told me to eat about every 3 - 3 1/2 hours and I am guessing it is for that reason. She said it of course doesn't need to be a meal every 3 but to eat a piece of string cheese or something. It also keeps your metabolism going because your metabolism slows down after 3-4 hours of no food.
Don't worry I'm sure you will do great!!

This is normal.  And like the other poster said, this is the "bandster hell" until you get a fill.  For me, I have had 1 fill but it wasnt enough!  I go back 1/25 for my 2nd fill.  My NUT also said to eat every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism in high gear.  But, you have to do what your Dr has advised you.  Between meals, I try to get in my fluids (water and Crystal Light). That will also act as an appetite supressant.

All normal!
yes the swelling is going down, and yes you will start to get your hunger feelings back...some with a vengence...but you can do this, this is the time to practice small meals and every 3 or 4 hours...tiny tiny tiny bites. when you start fills you will have some restriction and the hunger will go away again. it is a learning curve for  us all.

Welcome to the bench

It's very normal!!!  It's gonna be tough till you start getting fills and some real restriction.  It sounds like the band alone won't do that for you, which is also normal.  Also, as we lose weight we might need more fills cause the band will loosen as the fat melts away from our stomachs too.  Really get on here and read a lot, it helped me during the early struggles by being informed and knowing what to expect.  YOu are gonna lose weight and it will get easier.  Just hold tight and really try and follow all the rules.  You can do it!!! : D
