I am 2 months post op and having some issues with losing some of my hair when I wa**** and bru****  I'm afraid of my hair becoming too thin.  So, I had an idea.  I'm thinking of getting a body wave or a spiral perm to help make my hair "appear" thicker.  Has anyone done this?  I guess I'm also afraid of losing more or ALL my hair if I have these chemicals put into my hair.  Has anyone gotten a perm after WLS and what were the results?  Thanks.

Giiirl...I am not so sure about the perm....I have never had a perm,,but I would think that the perm may damage your hair even more..Have you tried some of these products that make your hair appear thicker...Like at Harmons or any makeup store or beauty supply store......I think the best thing for you at this point is to stop this problem in its tracks and take in more protein...Do you reach your protein percentage everyday?  Or what about vitamins for hair and nails....I am so sorry, that is not pleasant to lose your hair....I am worried about that myself and I have really short hair to begin with....Let me know how you make out ..

By the way,,you are doing great.....Keep it up and Happy and Blessed New Year to you and your family,

noelle

I'm not so sure about the perm either. It might do more damage than good.

Are you getting your vitamins?  you might want to try a health food store to see if you can get more vitamins, either liquid or supplements you can add to your meals?
