Overeating....

The first few weeks is about healing your stomach.  You don't want to push the weight loss thing at this point.  Your body needs to get used to the band inside.  Focus on your diet.  Make sure to get lots of protein and fluids.  I had my surgery on the 18th as well.  I can eat pretty normally right now.  I have my first Post-op appt today, supposed to be a fill.  We shall see...

Good luck!

Ckallen is right.  The first few weeks are all about getting your stomach healed up and for you to create new eating habits.  Everyone is different and we all lose at a different rate.  Have you taken your measurements?  Its possible you are losing inches and not yet any pounds.  Keep up with your fluid intake and make sure you get in 60-100 grams of protein.  You can do it.  Keep to the plan and your body will soon follow!!!  Remember its not just about losing weight but becoming healthy!!!

3cc on 12/10/09, 0.8cc on 1/25/10, 1.0 cc on 3/15/10, 1.0 cc on 4/28/10, 0.2 cc on 6/16/10, 0.7 cc on 8/26/10, 0.8 cc on 10/15/10, 1.0 cc on 3/17/11 and 0.3 cc on 6/9/11.  8.8 cc in my 11cc band

One day at a time...I've had three fills (6.5 cc's) and still think I could use a little more. I'm going for another one in January. It's not just the band...you have to do the work too. You need to really be sure you're hungry and not eating out of habit, which is very hard. That's how we all got here to begin with. You can do it...one day at a time.
