2 wks post op-admitted to hospital

I was one day short being 2 weeks post op and ended up back in the hospital for 2 nights. I had trouble a couple of days with throwing up, and dizziness, and my back had been hurting I just blew it off. On Monday I kept throwing up repeatedly, and then had the worse pain I had ever been in. I thought I done something to the band with throwing up so much, but it was pancreaitis(don't know that I spelled that right). One of the test they done the normal number is around 200 and mine was over 2,000. I am still tender and a little dizzy but happy to be back home!! Has anyone else had this after surgery?

When I first had the pain the band slipping is the first thing I thought of, but they done a CAT scan and everything seems to be fine. Your friend is right it is the worst pain ever! I had my son natural and it didn't compare to the pain I felt with the pancreatitis! I don't know if it made it worse that I was still healing from the surgery but the pain was unreal.
Thanks for the well wishes..

Is there anything you have to do special now?

They just told me to stay low fat because fat can irritate it, and I have also chose to take in very little dairy for a while since that was what triggered it this time. I was so relieved to know it wasn't the band, I really thought I had done something to it.
I hope you have a good New Year

That would have been my biggest concern too.  Now, you just gotta get yourself feeling better.

You have a Happy New Year too!   2010 is gonna be the year we are officially BIG LOSERS!  ;0)
