Hiccupping
Hiccuping is very normal..I had hiccups pretty bad after a week or so post op..its from all the gas they put in to expand the stomach..you definitiely want to make sure you using your spirometer, they should have sent you home with one to breath in about every hour or so that will help release a lot of the gas and prevent those hiccups..I read this post last so I just wanted to say congrats on being banded! Thanks.
I felt like I had to vomit the first three days and I stopped taking the liquid vicodin and that made it go away. I think it was making me queasy.
I also hiccuped a lot right after surgery, it was annoying but it has actually stopped except some few bouts every once in a while. I was getting them like 2-4 times a day after surgery and they hurt. LOL All better now.
