I'm heading back to Mexico in the AM to see my surgeon.  After getting little direction here regarding my upper abdominal pain, I called my surgeon and he said, "Please come and let me take care of you."  How nice is that...it feels like a big hug when all the other doctors just say, "well, it could be the gallbladder, but it could be ....."  My surgeon said that he can run several tests and even scope me and that he might be able to pinpoint the problem in just 24 hours instead of the months it takes to go from doctor to doctor.  Wish me luck!!!  Of course, I still feel weird going to Mexico for medical care, though!!!

Good luck. It is so important to have medical staff that is supportive and that you feel comfortable with. I hope you get the answers and help you need.

Thanks guys!  So far, they are sure that the band and band complications are not the problem.  They suspect esophogeal spasms and esophogeal motility and strength issues and are having me see a specialist first thing in the AM to get an endoscopy.  When he is done, they should have something definite to tell me.  Thanks for your support!

The doctor came through and did get done in 24 hours what is taking forever here in the states.  Anyway...all tests come back good...endoscopy showed no problems in the stomach or esophogus except some gastritis with they believe is secondary to the gallbladder issue.  Guess gallbladder surgery is next.  Once it's all resolved, I can go back to losing weight!
