on 12/3/09 8:45 pm - Mount Arlington, NJ

Since the Holidays is amongst us, I thought it would fun to share your favorite Holiday song, movie and/or television special (show). The thing that gets you into that “Holiday feeling", and reminds you of your childhood.

This week we start with favorite Holiday Songs. Name the song, and the Artist (if it’s important).

OK .. here are 10 of my favorites (in no particular order).

Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses

Oh Christmas Tree – Jazz - Charlie Brown

Santa Claus is Coming to Town – any version but Bruce Springsteen

Drummer Boy – traditional

Do You Hear What I Hear – Bing Crosby

Rudolph Red Nose Reindeer – Jimmy Durante

War is Over – If You Want It – John Lennon

Jingle Bells – Barking Dogs and Frank Sinatra
Do They Know It’s Christmas Time – Band Aid

Dominick the Donkey – Lou Monte

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

This is fun Tom!!   Tough to narrow down though.  You got some good picks there.

Some of my top faves are:

Silent Night
Do You Hear What I Hear
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
Carol of the Bells
Auld Lang Syne
Santa Baby
So This is Christmas
Rocking Around the Christmas Tree
Feliz Navidad
I Ain't Getting Nothing For Christmas

My favorite kids show is definitely How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  I love the Heat and Coldmeiser Christmas Show too.  They are cute.  I also love Polar Express now.  I just love the way it ends with the bell...it makes me cry every time.  I got my one daughter a Hallmark Ornament that is the bell.  It's cute.

Three of my favorite adult Christmas movies are The Ref, with Dennis Leary and Scrooged  with Bill Murray and then National Lampoons Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase of course.  :)

I am so READY for Christmas.  :)
