Recovering from Tuesday's surgery

Hello!!!  Hoping you all had a great Thanksgiving!!!!  I am excited that my surgery was BEFORE a holiday known for stuffing ourselves beyond full!!!  My surgery was Tues and I was home by 5pm.  Still dealing with pain....lots of shoulder pain....walking around alot to deal with this.  I was so excited and THANKFUL to wake up on Thanksgiving and be able to have a chocolate protein shake instead of clear broth!!!!   I also have a great recipe for a sugar free, alcohol free high protein Egg Nog protein shake, so I was a happy camper!!!

I am still quite swollen!!!  The 5+ years since my RNY have dulled the memory of the painful recovery, but it's all worth it.....I know!!!!  I am so thankful for my second chance and thankful for all of you who have gone on before and have great words of advice and wisdom to offer.  Thank you!!!

I am also psyched b/c I have several more days off than previously expected before I need to be back at work (i am a surgical RN).

Well, shoulder is screaming for a walk, better go!!!
