Bloody fluid from band?
Hi everyone!
I got my third fill today and I'm a little concerned...
My doctor didn't do my fill (the PA did) and it took her 20+ minutes to find my port. For the last half of everything I could feel everything. I'm a big girl I can deal..
What has me concerned is that when she took the fluid out of my band it was bloody. I asked if it was normal and she said, "Yes, it's from all the pressure and such being applied to the area". I'm so sore - I have a bruise about the size of a baseball around my port.
Is this something I should be concerned about?
Thanks!

MisssBrown,
My advice - CALL YOUR DOCTOR. While it may be nothing, you should still check. Especially when it deals with "blood". It's best to be safe then sorry.
Good Luck on your Journey !!
Tom

I have to say I agree with tom. I would call your doc. Althought it may be due to the trauma to the area with the multiple attempts. it still wouldnt hurt to call your doc. You never know! Good luck!!
