Post-op Fever

I had lap band surgery on Wednesday and came home from the hospital Thursday. I have had minimal pain. I don'have any redness, swelling, or discharge from my incision sites, but a couple of hours go I had a fever of 99.7. My discharge instructions said to call if I have a fever over 101. I am very worried about infection. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Your body was/is just probably adjusting to the inflammation due to surgery.

My temperature has been normal now for many hours. Thanks for the words of encouragement - it made me pretty nervous, having a fever!

I did the same thing about 2 days postop. I ran a really low-grade fever, but I was fine the next day. I would say if it reaches over the 101 then you should worry. I hope this helps.
