Inches vs. Pounds

I have been reading that a lot of inches can fall off but until today I had been more worried about the pounds,  I have only lost about 22 lbs and was getting concerned/discouraged.  Then I had my husband do my measurements and realized I have lost 11 inches!!!!  I was excited.  I think that I will try to not get too tied up in the "pounds" and just worry about how I feel and how my clothes fit.  Thanks alot to all of you veterans and all the information on this site!!!!!!    Thanks I can't wait to see how it continues.   Thanks for all of your continued prayers and words of support.  I really appreciate them.

Yeah they really do. I was discouraged a few days ago and then got a compliment from my mom on how the body appearance is going. I have been stuck between 170 and 172 since July 10th but in the mean time I have gone down 2 more jeans sizes.
I was standing side ways and my mom said you look great but you look like your wearing a corset. Let me explain see she and I measure every 3 months and my chest is still the same cup size different band size my hips have gone down however the width of my 2 butt cheeks is roughly the same but then you measure my arms, legs and especially my stomach and I can totally see it.

Keep up the good work,
Wendy

I watch the scales too and I guess we shouldn't, last week I didn't lose but a few ounces but when I measured I had lost inches. I think we rely on the pounds coming off and don't think about the inches.

Don't get discouraged it will take time but it will happen.  I am very pleased with my weight loss but some would say I'm a slow loser but I'll take it any way I can get it. I am almost 4 months out and I have lost  36 pounds and 27 inches:) I think I'm more on the normal side than the slow.

I thank you all for the encouragement and your stories.  It helps a lot to see that I am not the only one who struggles.  Thanks a bunch. Keep on losing and see you on the losers bench.
