Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had information about the plateau buster diet?  I've seen it on the message board before, but I can't find it now.

 Thanks!

Hey I have done this to break a plateau before..

This is a plateau busting diet in case any one would like to try it...
***
1. Do this for 10 days to break a plateau.
2. Drink 2 litres of water a day.
3. You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr).
4. You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day.

Beef
Pork
Chicken
Turkey
Lamb
Fish
Eggs
Low-fat Cheese
Cottage Cheese
Plain Yogurt or Artificially Sweetened
Peanut Butter
Beans / Legumes
You may also have:
Sugar-Free Popsicles
Tea or Coffee (decaf only)
Sugar Free Jello
Broths / Boullion
Crystal Light Drinks

5. If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
6. Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily.

I have a question about that Ashley. On the 45 grams of protein supplements....does that mean I should be having protein shakes or protein bars, etc. that add up to 45 grams and then i can have the high protein food? I am a little confused on that.  Thanks!

I know I was confused by that myself. I knew a couple from the board that did it. They still followed their regular daily protein schedule..if you do shakes I think you are supposed to make them with water..but they used skim milk and was happy with the results. I myself didn't follow the diet to a T..lol I didn't do any other protein than the food I was eating. but I lost a good amt of weight and broke my plateau...
