All of a sudden, I'm hungry...
I'm wondering if I'm just eating the wrong stuff? My go-to high-protein snack is tuna with a tbsp of canola mayo and pickle relish with 5 lite Triscuits. Could this be sliding thru the band?
I've lost a total of 63 lbs. (30 prior to surgery) Had my realize band on April 30th. I've been pretty successful, but I'm a bit worried about the last few days, being hungry, almost our-of-control hungry and being able to eat more than I want to be able to eat... I've had 6 or so adjustments and I'm up to 5.75 cc. (my doc is very conservative and will only add .25-.5 ccs at a time, but he'll let you get an adjustment every 2 weeks...)
I really believe I haven't gotten the kind of restriction that the band can offer yet... There have been a few days that I could feel it, but not many, so far.
So what do you think is going on with me? Any advice would be appreciated.

Well, Tina - I don't think that there is anything 'wrong' with you.
Sounds like your band is just about 1/2 full -- and you may need a little tweak.
I have an 11cc Realize -- and have 5.5 cc right now (after 3 fills) -- and have lost 30 pounds since surgery.
I get my fills -- and for the first 2 weeks, I feel a little restricted (that means that I don't get food stuck, but if I eat 3 - 4 ounces of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies, I can walk away and not be hungry for 4 - 6 hours). But by the 3rd week after the fill, I am hungry much more often.
That doesn't mean that I can sit down with a bag of chips or other slider foods and eat until I am 'full' -- because with those foods, I don't really get full.
If you are eating good, high quality/high protein food in bandster amounts, and you still are getting hungry every few hours, it sounds like you need another small fill.
Good luck!

That sounds like a pretty good snack for a bander. If you ate that around 3:30 in the afternoon, would you be really, really hungry before it was time for dinner? If so, maybe the Triscuits are making it slide through your band. Try having a protein only snack (like a deviled egg or a cheese stick wrapped with some turkey) and see if that keeps you satisfied longer. If not, then definately think about a fill.
