Magnesium citrate....

Hi all,

I had to go to my doctor's office today, because for the last 2-1/2 weeks, I have been having really bad left-sided pain that started each time I ate. It felt liked trapped gas and I got scared because a couple of times I wanted to go to the ER but didn't go. Each time I would lie down on my left side it would go away.

I went in today and they found out I guess I have been SEVERELY constipated. Sorry for TMI, but I wanted to share this for anyone else who might experience this. I am only 5 weeks out from surgery and had been having Bowel movements every day, but I knew I was a bit constipated, but didn't realize just how bad.

Anyway, he told me to get the magnesium citrate and see if that helps. So far it's been 2 hours and nothing as of yet. Anyway, I will start taking fiber each day, as he said I will be more prone to this type of thing since surgery.

I hope everyone is healthy, happy and losing weight!!

Hi Mark,

My doc told me to be sure and take Benefiber each day for extra fiber. I am definitely going to start doing that! My side is still killing me tonight. So far the Magnesium stuff isn't doing anything. I bought some benefiber this afternoon. You can put that in anything.

Congrats on your surgery.
