Diabetic & Fruit
Okay, I have a question for any and everyone, I am a diabetic and have been for about 13 years now, I was put on an insulin pump on May 15, 2008 (just before my WLS) was taking 2.65 units an hour now I am down to .3 units an hour , I so want this pump off.
The reason I am writing is because I would really like to have some fruit, but not sure which would be the best for me does anyone have what fruits would be the best, I have lost about 65 lbs still have a ways to go, but I will get there. But I just don't know what fruits (if any) that I could eat that wouldn't make my blood sugar go out of control and make me have to up my insulin intake. Any ideas???
when I was hard-core Atkins, berries were a good choice when you just HAD to have fruit. Check out the Atkins website, that may be of some assistance:
