Lap band vs Realize Band

I am new to this forum and only been posting on the Lap Band post. Then I discovered there was a Realize Band Forum. What is the difference?

I went to my first semiar last night and the doctor there uses the Realize Band.

I found this site last night and it is a great resource. 

My surgeon said the biggest reason he changed was because the size of the band itself.  I guess because the profile is larger Realize bands have less of a chance of slippage then the current lap band on the market. 

Not sure what the stats are on that, just was my doc told me when I asked.
