Just wondering if taking a trip 2 weeks post op is a bit to soon.  I havent  been banded yet, but hubby wants to take a trip to colorado after my surgery.  Any advise would be great.

You shuld be fine to travel.  I had surgery on the 19th and will be traveling this week.  Just be mindful of your post op diet and plan ahead.

One thing to note.  I get really tight when I fly so you might just want to keep that in mind.  I've heard others kind of get the same way.

If you are currently at sea level and you are taking a trip to the mountains of colorado, you may want to talk to your surgeon.  My surgeon told a story in his seminar about someone who was banded and went skiing and had to have an emergency unfill after being airlifted to a hospital in Denver due to the altitude. After the unfill the bandster was fine. I would think you would be fine in Denver at 5,280 feet, but the mountains might be a different story.

Matt
