My insurance is being charged $1100.00 for my fills and I am responsible for $600.00 I feel this is a bit excessive. Do ya'll mind telling me the going price for fills? Thanks! Lin

WOW!! That is a LOT!! My surgeon will charge 250 per fill, and my insurance doesn't pay; however, I checked with a doctor nearer to where I live who will charge 87.00 for a fill if you have gone to someone else for surgery.

I can't believe that.

I am self-pay for the whole thing -- I get 3 months of fills for free.
Then, every visit is 50.00 and if I need a fill, it is 50.00 more ---- so, total of 100.00.

The local "Fill Center" charges the same thing --- it is locally owned and managed by a trained Nurse Practitioner.

I think what you are being charged is outrageous.

Yes, it is under live xray.. well, you lay on the table .. the put the needle in
You get up. stand in front of the xray thing.. they put saline in . get you to drink the barium.. watch it go down. Pull the needle out and you are on your way.. about 10-15 min tops!. I feel I am being terribly overcharges. I have had 4 fills.. that is $4400.00... $2400. 00 my bill.. Plus, my insurance was billed over $30,000.00 for the surgery and I had to pay $3,000.00 up front in cash for the "aftercare" for the first year.I honestly thought fills were included.. but either way .. It all sounded like it was in my favor at the time... but now, I just can not afford this kind of stuff....
Im just feeling way overcharged!

I am charged $160.00 each time I have a fill my insurance pays all but $12.00. I think it's time for you to shop around to get your fills don't you do not have to use the same place you had your surgery for your fills especially due to this price those people are crazy. That is what you call draining the well dry.

Im self pay and I pay $250 for a fill.

My total was appx. $18000, 3 months post-op care and first fill free. That amount didnt cover co pays and misc expenses charged by my pre-op visits (blood work, sleep center, upper GI...etc) I believe all of that was under $500 or so total.
