Honeymoon phase
Hi, I haven't noticed a honeymoon period. You just have to get to the right restriction level for you. At that point the weight will steadily come off as long as you are eating well and exercising. At least that's how it has been for me.
Hope that helps. I'm sure other people will chime in on the subject.

Hi Mochasoul,
I believe everyone is different, and I say that b/c my sis is a banster and is losing alot more lbs than me and we are 10 days out from each other, where I am loosing alot of inches and not seeing but 3-6 lbs a month. so i think everyone goes according to there exercise activity as well as eating habits. I am loosing slow but my Dr is happy with that, and I am now.

I'm brand new to the site and new to the band also. My surgery was 5/18/09, and as of yesterday, 5/22/09, I have lost 17 pounds. I was like you in assuming that banding was a much slower process, so I was REALLY surprised to lose that much only four days out. I don't expect it to continue like this, I think most of it was fluid weight, because I apparently retain a lot of fluid. But, I guess it would qualify as your honeymoon period, because I'm ecstactic!
