I just had my band placed on the 13th and I had alot of issues with gas discomfort. I can tell you it is better the more you can move around so try to get up and walk a bit. It took mine almost a week to completely go away.

Just do not overdo it, my surgeon said it is imperative to walk at least 4 times a day in those days post surgery. I know that for me I always felt better after I would walk, do not be surprised if you burp and pass gas alot, every time I would get up and walk around I was able to "get rid of" more gas and I felt better after. I know kind of gross but true none the less, Just don't tire yourself out and if you feel any pain definitely STOP but it does help to move around more.
