Yes, you can. I have MS and have to have MRIs 2x a year and that was one of my first questions. I was assured that it would not be a problem. My neurologist agreeded to my having the band placed and I dont think he would have if I could not have a MRI after. I am not sure what the material is that is used, but whatever it is, it doesn't affect the test.
