Shorter than I thought....my ah ha moment

So I started the journey today meeting with the surgeon.  I start the pre-op diet April 6th for 8 weeks during this time I have to do the sleep study and the psych eval (which I find funny as my degree is in psychology )  Always when asked my height I have consistantly said- 5'10" as we know, the taller we are the more we 'can' weigh.  Well, apparently I am only 5'7" in which raised my BMI even HIGHER!  So anyway, that being said I spoke with my surgeon and I am going with the Realize band.  I am so confident in the choice that I can utilize this as a tool to help me lose weight and HOPEFULLY get TALLER!!!  

That was an ah ha moment for me....I really am obese and I need to do this for myself as well as my kids....and the husband too I suppose!
