Less than 12 hours now until my surgery.  Having a bit of trouble sleeping, but I guess I'll get caught up on sleep tomorrow.

Well, as it turns out, I ended up with RnY bypass.  I was a revision from a failed stomach stapling, and there was an old remnant of the staple line left.  When the surgeon got it, there was just too much scarring from the previous surgery, and he didn't think the tissue would support a band.  So, as per our prior agreement, he did the RnY instead.

Now the good news.  I didn't have to take a single bit of pain meds.  Since he had so much cleanup to do in there, the surgery took over 4 hours, instead of 1, so I had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia.  But, when I finally climbed out,  I woke to no pain at all.  I was up walking an hour later, and walked my butt off.  The put me in SICU over night Friday, and I bugged the nurses to go walking with me 4 times that night.  I'm home now, and still have now gas or incision pain at all.  I'm feeling a little overall muscle soreness now in my torso, but nothing that I would really call pain.

Glad to be home, and anxious to start losing.
