I had the exact same issue. When the surgeon installed the band it probably was too tight. Our stomach's have a fatty layer covering them thus interfering with the normal function of the band. The Doctor wants you to loose a significant amount of weight to minimize the fat layer on your stomach. I bet the xray after the surgery looked way to tight. Now after the swelling has gone down and the weight loss, I bet your OK. Insist on another xray. Its too easy for the doctor to give you a 6 week mushies sentence. Make them work. They have no clue whats going on in your body without an Xray. They need to see that your not restricted.
