2 Days Post and ooh the growling/gurgling

Just curious if anyone else had this post op.  I knew about and was expecting the gas pains (can barley lift my shoulder!) but i never expected my stomach growling/gurgling. it's actaully pain full.  They told me to move to liquids on friday even though later today will be 48 hrs post op. 

Any suggestions/comments?

Take it slow with the liquids but you need to stay hydrated.  Have you been drinking water???

Chicken broth was a wonderful thing in those first early days.

I know exactly what you are talking about.  I was not expecting any gas pains since I was never told to expect that.  My friend had her band put in about 6 weeks before me and she did not experience that.  I had mine done on December 26th.  I can say it is bad in the beginning but just hang in there because it does get better.
