Acid Reflux anyone?
I just had my surgery on Monday and recovery has been good so far...until tonight.
I had acid reflux before surgery and took 40 mg of prilosec every day. However, my surgeon told me I would not need it anymore after the surgery.
As I was going to bed tonight, I felt the familiar and uncomfortable rumblings of acid reflux in my stomach. It feels a little different, but I know what it is.
Is this normal for 3 days post-op and will it go away?
What can I do to relieve symptoms right now?

I have reflux. I take 40 mg of Nexium a day and have been doing this for many years. I know they say after losing weight, you may be able to stop the meds but I am not sure how soon after it will take. I was told the same thing after I got my gall out. I guess it depends on the person. I would check with your surgeon and ask them. You may need to take it a little while longer.
