There IS a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Who would have ever thought i would be so happy for a loss of 2 pounds, but OMG i was jumping up and down!!  I have been stuck at the same weight that I was when i went for my first post op check up.  I was even considering asking to move up the date for my fill (which is December 23).  Maybe I will just wait it out.  I have lost about 15 total inches since surgery but the pounds just werent showing.  I feel such a HUGE releif!!  Now im even more motivated to get my butt in gear and work this thing like I was before surgery!!!!

Thanks for listenting
Have a GREAT day!!!!!

Don't ever give up the light at the end of the tunnel!

I was on a 3 month plateau....long time....I was doing everything I was supposed to be doing. I have finally started to lose weight again and have lost two more inches for a total of 23.
Losing just two pounds IS really exciting after a plateau. You are losing inches so you know your body is changing. Keep doing what your doing and you will continue to lose more.

Hi!!!  I just had my first fill today (no big deal at all), but I wanted to share with you what my surgeon had told me after my first post-op check up.  Within the first 2 weeks post-op you will drop a good deal of weight.  After the first 2 weeks and until your fill (and maybe until the second fill) DON'T EXPECT MUCH LOSS AT ALL!  He even told me do not expect more than about 1-2 pounds (maybe up to 8lbs but that is a reach...) at least until after your fill because the first round of loss comes due to adjusting to the diet and healing from surgery.  After about two weeks your body and metabolism are adjusting and trying to figure out what the heck you have done to it.  Every big change results in a big reaction....then you adapt so plateaus are going to happen.  Get yourself moving and active as much as possible to keep your metabolic furnace burning!   Good Luck!!!

love the avatar.....

Thanks for the update on your fill. Its great to know that you are being successful. The info about the body and metabolism needing to adjust is so important. Im still waiting for my band-date.
