I was a nervous wreck going in but God took care of that for me, the surgical nurse just happened to have got banded 3 weeks ago and she assured me I would be just fine. Everyone was so nice. I had surgery at 11:30 and I was home around 7pm only becasue of my sleep apnea my oxgen was very low and I had to wait for it to build up.
The gas is the worst so I have been moving around to get rid of it. I have not taken any pain medication since 9pm becaseu it makes me itch so bad.

Good for you!  Welcome home, and welcome to the losers bench!!  Keep walking... that helps ALOT with the gas.  The more you walk, the less pain from gas.

After your 1st week you will pretty much be over the gas problems.  Walk and drink water.  I found a heating pad helped also.

It will get better soon.

I just had my Realize Band surgery on Monday of this week--4 days ago.  So I'm dealing with a lot of the same issues.  Today is the first day that I'm really feeling "normal."  I can't wait to get my first fill because I'm often hungry and don't seem to have much restriction as long as I chew well.
