Approximately how much are fills and are they covered by your insurance? I have noticed the band is an less expensive surgery but does it end up costing more with getting fills every few weeks? Am I looking at out of pocket expenses? I will ask the Dr. when I see him on the 12th but wanted a heads up.

It depends on the insurance, they are covered by insurance and I only have a co-pay.

I've only had one fill and am hoping it is covered by my insurance.  Hoping to get another fill in a week or so.

I was a self-pay but my doctor includes 3 fills in his price- so it was like 17,000 for everything- post op checkups and 3 fills. I haven't had any yet but my doctor I think said 1-4 usually, and sometimes yearly or bi-yearly thereafter.

As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!

I can tell you the doctor you are seeing will tailor your guidelines specifically to your insurance.
I would call your carrier and see if they cover the band and rny. See what you have ahead of you!
  Good luck
