How soon can you begin walking on a treadmill after surgery?  I don't want to jog, just a slow paced walk for 20-30 minutes.  I had surgery on 11/11

I was told to walk as much as I felt comfortable as soon as I could after surgery. Crystal

I am getting banded next week on the 24th.  In the "Guide to Success" my Dr. gave me, it says to start with Activity as soon as I can after surgery. Start with Walking 5-10 minutes a day and build yourself up from there. 

I would think that a week out of surgery you should clearly be able to start walking on your treadmill.  Of course i'm not a Dr, and I haven't had the surgery myself yet.

You do have to listen to your body, but the answer is immediately. My doctor wanted me to shoot for an hour, and if it took a few days or a week to get there, he said that was fine. But like, I was like, "what's too much?" and he said, "Tomorrow don't do like 2 hours or anything." but two days out I did not feel up to that long. I would encourage you to push yourself to walk as much as you can as soon as you can.

About a week out all depends on
your body and how it heals ....
Plus your health if you feel ready
I have dropped 30 pounds so far

According to MY doctor...if your surgery was 11.11, you should be walking by 11.11 evening    I was walking with purpose (slowly but walking) the day after my surgery
