Hello there, just got realize just over three weeks ago and have noticed that I can feel by realize band with my large incision which is located top left just between left nipple and belly button.  Surgeon told me after first post op appointment that was my realize band.  Just wondering if anyone has experienced same issue.  Thanks

Are you sure it is not your port?

Sorry my mistake,  I have been informed that is my PORT but I believed that PORT was located in area of abdomin.  Thanks

Good, I was beginning to think my band was not working. Yes, I can feel my port also. I know that my band is there when  I overeat and my 'pouch 'is full...so I still monitor how much I eat. I hope you have a wonderful and successful journey to losing weight.

Yeah, that sounds kind of odd...  I would imagine it is your port you are feeling.  As far as I understand, your band is actually located just below your breast bone.  I can't feel anything when I push there, is that where you are pushing?

IT'S YOUR PORT,CUZ THAT IS WHERE I FEEL MINE.....THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN FEEL THE BAND ITSELF.....THE PORT IS CLOSER TO THE SURFACE......ITS WEIRD HOW YOU CAN FEEL IT IN ONE PLACE LAYING DOWN AND ANOTHER STANDING UP

Sorry my mistake of medical terms.  I meant to say PORT.  Just want to know if everyone can feel their port and does it bulge out of their abdominal area.  Thanks

yeah, that is the port.  I can feel mine there as well.  I can "feel" the band when I drink right now because I can tell it is giving me restriction.  But I am just a couple days out of surgery.

That is the port. The band is where your ribs meet in the middle of the chest.  I felt my band for about 3 months after surgery.  Meaning I felt a weird "picking" feeling in that area.  I asked my doc where the actual band is placed and he pointed to the bottom of my sternum where my ribs meet.  I could not physically feel in with my fingers but it felt weird inside.  I can't feel anything anymore.  Sometimes when I exercise I can feel my port which is on my right side at about the bottom of my rib cage but over in the muscle area of my stomach.

Sorry my mistake.  I meant to say PORT but was concerned because I was under the interpretation that the port would be at my bottom right side of abdominal area just to the right of belly button? Thanks
