sweet spot
You'll know! I was able to comfortably eat 4 ounces. After this last fill (my 5th) I can only eat 2-3 ounces comfortably. Have noticed I need to eat slower and take much smaller bites. It takes time to get the best restriction. You'll also know when you need a fill because as the fat pad around your stomach shrinks you'll have more room and you'll find you can eat more. That is when you need to be careful and only eat the smaller amount so that your not gaining.
Your Realize band holds 9 ccs and you will be close to 6 or more before you feel restriction close to a sweet spot. It's hard for me to explain and probably irritating for you to hear...you'll know it when you feel it....but that's basically the way it is. When you are there....you'll know it.
Good luck!!!

I'm at 7.2/9cc now and am finally feeling some restriction. You definitely need to eat slower and take small bites. Last night I fixed my granddaughter some chicken nuggets and, not thinking, I popped one in my mouth. I didn't chew it well enough either. I got this pain in my chest, I saw stars. I took a sip of water and even though I knew I wasn't supposed to drink something I did anyway and felt it come up into my throat. Thank goodness it didn't last long. I've haven't gotten anything really stuck yet, thank goodness.
I'm doing something wrong though. I'm still not losing weight. Maybe I'm drinking before the 30 mins. are up or I'm eating too fast. I still have to get used to this new feeling.
Hopefully you will feel restriction before I did. Six months is a long time to wait. It's really frustrating. Good Luck.
