Do you think that the burping si still the gas?  Also, I know that Schirmer told me that he does NOT put any fluid in during surgery.  Not until one month post op visit.  Other than that, are you starting to feel bbetter?  Has the pain subsided?

I doubt you have fluid in your band. I was banded 3 days before you and I have had some of that chest stuff. Sometimes I pound my fist on my chest to try and release a burp. It works in some instances. I didn't have a lot of gas by mouth.... mostly from the other end! Sorry TMI!

Congrats on your band!

thanks for replying to my post and the congrats on the band. i have only had the gas per mouth(ha ha ) and no shoulder pain that people says that goes along with the gas. hope you are doing well with your band also.

I'm doing ok with my band. Today I get to start my pureed foods...THANKFULLY! I've been so hungry!

I have been having a lot of excessive port pain. Its definitely annoying. I have found it hard to sit up. Anyways, good luck to you too!

I have been told that if you have trouble with gas, walking is good, even if it is just around in your house.  I will find out--surgery in 2 days.
