How many cc did it take you?

I just found this board! I was on the other and then stopped I'm glad to have found other Realize people. Ok so I'm now at 7ccs and just starting to "get it" when it's that time of the month I feel what I'd concider to be good restriction but other times of the month not so much even at all. I'm thinking I'd like a little more just seeing where the rest of you found your spot.

So where did you start to really feel your sweet spot?

It is so funny that you asked this question, because I asked something very similar the other day on the lapband board. I'm at 5.5 and feel like I always did! I'm trying to be patient, but getting a little frustrated!

Well, both of you have the LAP-Band so which sizes do you have? the 10cc or the 14? If you have the 14, it will take longer to feel restriction I would guess.

Generally, it takes less cc in the Realize to feel restriction compared to the LAP Band, but that is because of the Bands' designs.

Its not a big thing I personally am not buying into all the difference. Its true whatever brand come fisrt and is popular thats what people call the product. Like Bandaid. If I went to work and said I got a realize band they'd have no clue.

you can update your avatar information now to reflect the Realize band instead of the lap band...not that it's critical, but it would help with confusion...

Lap Band on 03/06/08

It took me 8ccs before I got it. 5 ccs I was still hungry all the time.

Beginning Wt- / Wt Now / Goal Wt= 310 / 172 / 131
Revision to REALIZE Lap-band, 1st Fill 4/8/08 3 cc's in 9 cc band, Now 8 cc's in 9 cc band.

REALIZE Band on 05/06/08

I am a little different. I think I have always had "some" restriction. I think I had a lot of swelling the first month. My first fill was 3.8 with fluro. The 2nd fill was .3 cc's. Third was 1cc taking me to 5.1 but I got stuck/swollen & had .5 taken out. I feel like I have decent restriction at 4.6, it could be tighter..but this level doesn't restrict what I eat ..moreso how much I eat. I am eating approx 3/4 for most meals. I am losing slowly now ...but like where I am. It is interesting how everyone is different.

7/07 - 313 8/07 6mth diet - 304.8 4/21/08 pre-op - 267 surgery - 252
current - 192.5.....Ticker starts at 304.8
