I'd suggest calling your OB and/or the lab in advance. If it's supposed to be fasting and you actually ate that morning, you'd probably need to re-do the test. Best to get an official word from the people doing the test!

I totally know the feeling! The game of "hurry up and get pregnant" is SO stressful!
I'd suggest charting EVERYTHING, there are lots of handy apps for that. Ovulation tests, having sex, BBT, the whole nine yards. Being able to look at my data and know I'd done everything possible was actually very helpful, so no worry about "did I miss a day?" or anything like that.
The average time to conception after stopping birth control is 4+ months, so it's not super likely to happen right away. So don't put pressure on yourself!

Hey how are you? Time is flying and this update is almost 2 months old. Hope you and you family are doing well and that the pregnancy is progressing well.
Best,

Hi there!
I am 26 weeks as of today and due 9/24. How did your test go?
Hello everyone!
Im about a year and eight months post op. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant. It's almost time for my gestational diabetes test and my OB didn't give me any clear instructions. She just said we won't do the sweet drink test instead we'd just do a random blood draw. My questions to you all are- Am I supposed to eat something before hand or be fasting? If I eat something sweet how long should I wait to have my blood drawn? Can I drink anything the morning or day of? My appt is at 8:50 AM. Any other advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
RNY 2002 waited until 2005 to start a family. During that time I was so very sick and hospitalized gained 15 lbs with that pregnancy. The second in 2010 mild morning sickness weight gain 35 plus 15 after.
ugh.
We got the go-ahead from my PCP so I went off my BC pills, read up a bunch, bought OPK test strips... but I'm still wondering about what would be useful to know. I'm 33 in August, and I wish I was pregnant yesterday! I've had positive OPK results twice now, once last month and once yesterday!
I apologize if this has been asked a zillion times before, but what do you wish you'd known? Especially, how do you handle the emotional ups and downs? My best friend has been trying for the last few months and she's having a hard time coping.
I am 8 months post op and pregnant! My ob is totally unconcerned about me being 8 months post. She has lots of experience with baristtic pregnancies and high risk although I am not considered high risk. I'm down 110 pounds from surgery and haven't gained any weight. I also have had zero morning sickness thank God!
My surgeon told me 12-18 months but my OB-GYN said 9 months. She was totally unconcerned about me getting enough nutrition. I can easily eat about 1200 calories a day, which is pretty normal. (I don't usually, of course.) We've just started trying, I'm about 11 months post op. I went off birth control at 10 months post op, and we used other BC methods for a month. I'm pretty close to my goal so I feel good about it. I'm VERY impatient!
My husband is 9 months post op and I'm 7 months post op and he is terrified that I'll get pregnant and loose the benefit of the WLS. I understand his concerns completely but we're in our 40s and time is of the essence here. I know we should wait at least another five months, which I have no problem with but I am also working on my nursing degree, tick tok...tick tok. Its quite frustrating.
