Hi! Questions :)

My surgeon says to wait a year MINIMUM after surgery to try to get pregnant. Ideally you should be at goal and have been in maintenance for 3 months.
I had surgery in December 2013, hit goal in late October 2014, had my IUD yanked in January, and was pregnant 3 weeks later.

I got pg accidentally six months post RNY. However, I'd already lost 100+ lbs and bypassed the surgeon's goal for me (was seven lbs from my personal goal). Though baby is perfectly healthy, I do not recommend getting pg so soon. I had really just started to feel like I was recovering from the surgery and rapid changes, and bam! prostrate on the couch again for weeks in the first trimester. I'm at 33 weeks now and exhausted again. We will be very happy to meet our son soon but I'm also very very ready to have my body be stable for a while...besides breast feeding.
This is really a time to focus on your own body and get your health in order so you can have the best possible pregnancy and be the healthiest during it so your baby will also end up the healthiest it can possibly be.
