Baby fever

So I'm just shy of three months post op and I have crazy baby fever. I know it's too soon to try but I want to ask my surgeon at my appointment when is the soonest we can try. I'm hoping she will say before October. My husband and I would love to have a baby! When did you guys get pregnant post op?

Ideally you should wait 18 months following surgery.  You want to get to your goal and work on your nutrition.  When you get pregnant, the baby will take all the nutrition it needs and you want to make sure that there is something left for you.

I know exactly how you feel, I just hit 6 months post op and after years and years of trying, it seems so stupid to be on birth control when I might have a chance NOW. Ugh :(

I was told by my surgeon to wait 18-24 months post op to become pregnant. Long story short, I have horrible issues with birth control and I ended up conceiving 5 months post op. And again 5 months after that baby was born. And again 10 months after THAT baby was born. I had my RNY 10/18/11 and before I reach my 4 year surgiversary I will have given birth to three babies.

My surgeon told me 12-18 months but my OB-GYN said 9 months. She was totally unconcerned about me getting enough nutrition. I can easily eat about 1200 calories a day, which is pretty normal. (I don't usually, of course.) We've just started trying, I'm about 11 months post op. I went off birth control at 10 months post op, and we used other BC methods for a month. I'm pretty close to my goal so I feel good about it. I'm VERY impatient!

I am 8 months post op and pregnant! My ob is totally unconcerned about me being 8 months post. She has lots of experience with baristtic pregnancies and high risk although I am not considered high risk. I'm down 110 pounds from surgery and haven't gained any weight. I also have had zero morning sickness thank God!
