How long after wls should you wait to get pregnant I had rny bypass

I had VSG, but I think at my Hospital, they will suggest you wait at least 18 months after any surgery before becoming pregnant. I'm 2 years out now and 5 weeks pregnant :)
My surgeon said at least 18 months. It was highly recommended not to try any sooner than that.
I had RNY in Aug 2010 and my surgeon said 18 months as well. I got pregnant at 17 months post op.
