Any new preggo moms had panniculectomy or tummy tuck?
Hi ladies, im 3 years post sleeve and 2 years post panni surgery. Im 2 months pregnant which was planned but scared to death about weight gain and have already been classified high risk with many past surgeries and tons of scar tissue.
My appetite has increased big time but still have some restriction I can feel. I want a healthy baby but have already gained 14 pounds!!!! I guess after the baby is here time will tell but im trying hard not to gain so much weight.
Looking to hear from you your stories post panni or tummy tuck. Wondering if I will need a revision??
Hi i'm doing great besides the morning sickness is a pain in the A__! I too have lots of scar tissue and can tell a difference in carrying with this pregnacy. Ive had some complications with cramping and bleeding and my OB says its from all the surgeries and my uterus window is very this so ive been cramping bad, just making it to my second trimester and hoping i will be able to carry full term as planned with a scheduled c section. Weight gain has been an issue because ive been taken off all diurectics meds that helped me from building up fluid from tummy tuck , so its around 20 pounds gain already! YIKES!!! Im trying to maintain a normal diet and exercise is out of the question since ive been on bed rest for the last 3 weeks but seems to be getting alot better. Maybe one day i can continue on as normal with a daily workout routine and try not to gain as much weight but im hanging in there.
Anything for my healthy baby to arrive , so it's all worth it!
I'm 5 1/2 yrs from RNY and a couple of years post panni. I have had some other surgeries as well. Today at my 12 week visit my OB said I will probably have to be automatically scheduled for a C-section, but not because of either of those surgeries but because I had a vaginal sling done 10 yrs ago. I want to avoid a C-section as much as possible as I have problems with anesthesia and surgeries in general (wounds healing, infection, etc.). I'm seeing a high risk dr in a few weeks because of prior health issues, I'm hoping she changes the whole C-section idea. My scar from my panni has started becoming a little sore, so I have been applying lots of cream.
