Yep. I am a total grinch this Christmas season. Nope, I am still not pregnant.....its been 2 yrs. We have had soo many cycles of clomid and shots and trigger shots. Our IUI too failed. I figured I would at least be pregnant this Christmas, its all I wanted. All I hoped for. But instead I will be having surgery, laparoscopy, to remove scar tissue from my c section. My hsg done in feb showed "slow, delayed flow" to my L tube. Its not a straight shot like my R. Also, all my u/s have shown my L ovary close to my uterus...they think its adhered to it by scar tissue. So, the plan is to try to restore proper anatomy position and function. I have my pre op appointment tomorrow and surgery will be the 19th. Its been such a long road. The pain, the money, the time...all the sacrifices. I wish this upon no one. Its awful. I am nervous bc there are always risks...what if I lose a tube or ovary...or both? Ugh!!!!! Sry I needed to vent. hope everyone is well! Any ttc'ers still there?

So sorry to hear you're going through all of this!  Wishing you the best with your surgery, and that 2014 is your year!  Hopefully soon this will all be a distant memory!

The surgery went really well. They removed the adhesion that was indeed gluing my L ovary to my uterus. My tubes were clear and looked good. They remain my AMH amd its even lower than in feb, it wemt from .91 to .57 ;( so I have even less time than we originally thought. He said we will increase my clomid to 150mg once I get af again. I respinded well and fast to clomid but as I running out of time faster he wants to increase it to give me a better shot. I tried fremara once and I actually respond much slower to it :( Tje plan is to also add metformin to the mix. So it will be 150mg clomid, metformin, estrodiol and then the IUI followed by progesterone. Its been such a long road. I pray God blesses us very soon :) Thank you all for the support. I will keep you updated when we start up with treatment again :) Sry 4 any typos, on cell

My AMH was 0.39 in July.  I did two cycles of 150mg Clomid + IUI and it worked on the second cycle for me.  I don't know if the following helped or if I was just plain lucky, but I read that higher vitamin D values are associated with higher pregnancy rates.  After my first failed IUI, I doubled my Vit D intake.  I also had the serum/ blood level tested and I was normal at 32, but not in what I would consider an optimal high range (I prefer middle to upper range of normal).  The other thing I did is that after the second IUI, I flipped upside down on the bed that was inclined to help the little spermy guys swim up to the ovaries.  I did this for 10 minutes.  Good luck to you.

Thanks! You give me hope!!!! I am gonna pick up some vitD today :) How was your drs attitude in regards to your low AMH and doing only IUIs? Congrats on your miracle!

He only authorized/ wanted to do 2 cycles and then move to IVF, which I wouldn't have been able to afford.  He suggested only doing two cycles of IUI for two reasons.  He said that the standard practice used to be doing 5 - 6 cycles before suggesting IVF, but that recent research has strongly suggested that after 3 failed IUI's, the rate of success drastically decreases.  The second reason is that since the AMH indicated that I had so few eggs remaining, he didn't want to risk "depleting" what eggs I had left with the lower chance of success of IUI vs. the much higher rate of success with IVF.

I had forgotten to mention that I also had an HCG trigger shot 24 hours prior to insemination.
