Long overdue update

I really haven't posted anything in a long time, so I thought I'd check in.

For those who don't know me, I had my sleeve done a little over 3 years ago, and I'm 25 weeks along with my second post op baby.  I was nervous a bit in the beginning of this pregnancy because I had two early miscarriages last winter, but so far this has been a totally uneventful pregnancy, in fact it has been my easiest yet.  I'm feeling great!  Definitely started showing immediately with this one, but I think that is pretty much just par for the course with a 3rd baby.  We're not finding out what we're having, but at our ultrasound everything looked good.  All the right number of limbs, good size, etc.  My only concern with this pregnancy has been that I've gained weight faster than with either of the other two.   However, I was also at my lowest weight when I got pregnant with this one, so I'm hoping that is partially the culprit.  With the first two I lost the weight right away and I really don't want to get stuck with a bunch to lose!  I could definitely buckle down with my eating, but that really been happening at this point.  As of right now I've gained close to 20 lbs, so I'm hoping it will level off soon like it did with the other two.  Anyway, things are going great, and I'm just getting used to the idea that this is really happening and that I'm going to have 3 soon!

Hope everyone is doing well!

congrats paula!! wow! 3!! its a challenge just with one! lol. you know i hear after the first kid you start to show right away and probably has something to do with the weight gain. my little guy will be a year next week and i still haven't lost an ounce of weight! ughhhh it suuuuuucks, and with the holidays (being busy, stressed, and with a full calendar it doesn't help!). i really need to buckle down and get serious come january. my guy is finally at an age where i can take time for myself. its just so hard to get back on the horse!!! i will say that knowing what i know now i will do things differently with the next pregnancy. i had my moment of doing what i wanted. now next time i will be healthier.

anyway, so happy to hear you're having an easy pregnancy! yay! now tell me, how in the world do you handle being pregnant with 2 kids?! lol. i'm always so amazed. how old are the other kids now?

I can't believe he is going to be one already!!

Being pregnant with two little ones at home really hasn't been an issue because it has been such an easy pregnancy (knock on wood).  I'm definitely not the "take it easy" type, so luckily this baby has been cooperating with my busy life.  My daughter is going to be 5 next month, and my lil guy turned 2 in November.  With my daughter in school a few hours a week, I'm enjoying some time with Liam while he is still the "baby" before #3 comes.  I think he is going to have a really hard time adjusting because he is definitely a mama's boy.  It was super helpful having them in the order I did because Sophie is such a little mother hen and loves to help out, definitely going to come in handy when I have a newborn around again.  I'm really looking forward to having a baby in the house again, and I'm already trying to convince hubby to round it out with an even four, lol.  First we'll see how this delivery goes.  I'm hoping for another VBAC which will have a lot of bearing on whether or not I'm done after this one.  Not to mention I've been blessed with good sleepers and a kid who didn't follow suit with that would surely be my last, lol.  Enjoy the holidays with Benji, he is at such a fun age to experience it all!

oh my gosh!!! 4 kids! i love it!! in theory i would love to have 3-5 kids. i always wanted to have a big family and be the matriarch. i have this vision of all my kids and their families coming over to mama meli's house for the holidays and cooking up big feasts.  but thats in theory. in practice its a diff story. i was surprised how much of a struggle motherhood was for me (that newborn stage was a killer). for someone who always loved pregnancy and wanted to have kids so bad it was kind of a shocker that i wasn't a natural. i'm really hoping that i get better with the next one. now that i know what to expect and have some experience under my belt. maybe my next kid will be an easy baby. one can only hope!! we'll see how it goes. after the first baby i was like ok thats it, i'm done. i know for sure i want a 2nd. but depending on how i handle 2 will determine if we have more. i tell my husband now, lets have 2 and if i have an oops baby later on, i'm ok with that! lol. i just feel like i'm starting so late in life. but i guess everyone is having babies later these days. i'm gonna be an old grandma :/

i want to hear all about the birth of course. keep updating! and enjoy the holidays with your kiddies! benji is too young to really get it. he doesn't pay attention. but 2 and 5 sound like great ages. :) enjoy!
