Hi all,
Was curious whether you were automaticlly considered "high risk" in referral to ob/gyn ?
I was rejected by a fabulous ob/gyn ( reputation) saying this and to try Macmasters 4F clinic. Anyone else with this experience? I was especially caught off guard bc clinic and this ob gyn are both within st joes.
Does anyone know if we are automatically c-sections in Hamilton?
Thanks for ur insights
Kelsey

WLS shouldn't make you automatically anything! You don't need to be considered high risk just because of your surgery. You DEFINITELY should not let anyone tell you that WLS means you'll need a c-section. Unless you have other underlying issues, these things should have very little effect on your pregnancy.

Hello, I have not posted here in years but returned for some support with my surprise pregnancy! I am currently 24 weeks and see one of the docs at the McMaster 4f clinic. I have nothing but great things to say about the clinic and all the staff, I have gotten great care there. No, you are not an automatic c section. I have other health concerns and still plan on having a natural birth. Hope we can keep in touch!
