Abdominal ligament pains
RNY on 05/18/12
Long time creeper, first time poster!
I am 17 mos post op RNY and exactly 6 mos pregnant today!
I am having severe abdominal pain ( probably ligament) and it accompanied by whole back spasm.
Is it possible that surgery- having tightened abdo muscles from wt loss and exercise- can make these pains worse?
They do not let up - i mean constant spasm like feeling in abdo- for two days at a time, i am totally nauseous, dizzy. Most books describe these pains as short, jabby and aggravated by position- my experience is different so i worry!
I see doc tomorrow- I've had routine u/s that says everything is normal
Sorry kinda long but thanks for listening/ responding to my inquiry!

Ditto -- Get that checked out.
I get round ligament pains, but they only last a few minutes and don't radiate. They're down low in the uterus, and only happen when I sit up too quickly or otherwise use my abdominal muscles unwisely.
Braxton Hicks, from what I understand, are not severe or recurring, nor do they last for entire days. Definitely talk to a midwife or doctor.
I had RNY 7 years ago, and I'm due 12/5/13. This is my first pregnancy that has lasted past the first trimester.
