may b pregnant and want to be if im not
That being said, it is possible to have a healthy pregnancy with a lot of dr supervision. I was just over a year out when I became pregnant and had a lot of problems stabilizing blood sugars... That and I gained over 70lbs and could not get more than 30 off after. Then became pregnant again less than 2 years later.
I got pregnant about 2 1/2 months after surgery. Totally not planned and I was going in for an IUD when I found out. So far my pregnancy has been great. I'm 32 weeks and at a growth scan I had a couple weeks ago she was estimated at 3lbs 13oz. While this pregnancy has been uneventful it's still a scary situation. Ideally I would have been 18 months post surgery, but it's too late now. I would wait so you can have the full benefit of your WLS.
What kind of surgery did you have? There are a lot of factors to consider.... Did you have a surgery with malabsorbtion? Are you at or near goal weight? Do you ever have trouble getting all your fluids or protein in? Do you take your vitamins every day? Are your labs good?
If you're not in good health before getting pregnant, it just makes things riskier for both you and the baby. It can certainly be done, but definitely consider the factors above.
