Baby not growing
I'm sorry for your loss, I don't think it has anything to do with your wls. I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy and miscarried but then got pregnant with my son and had no issues with his pregnancy. With my 2nd it was just a normal pregnancy and with my 3rd (the post wls) baby I had a miscarriage the month before I got pregnant with her so I think my body may need a trial run before a healthy pregnancy.
Thank you for your insight.
I think we are going to wait a few months and try one more time. We are an older couple (I'm 40; he's 50) and it just may not be in the cards for us. But we'll try one more time and hope for the best.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. About a year and a half after the RNY I got pregnant and at 7 weeks the baby was measuring 5.5 weeks and had a heartbeat about 75 or 80... and the RE said it didn't look too good, but sometimes they implant late etc... a week later there was no heartbeat. I also had a D/C.
I tried again (and was 42 now) a couple months later and gave birth to my son a month after I turned 43.
I don't think the surgery had anything to do with it at all... One thing i did was start using an accupuncturist who worked with my doctor - so she focused on getting the uterine blood flow to its optimal point... I had a normal and healthy pregnancy and a healthy little boy who is a true blessing.
I hope you have the same happy ending...
Thank you Mary.
I just returned from my follow-up appointment after the D&C. The doctor was very optimistic and said the chances of a miscarriage go from 1 in 5 women (who have one) to 1 in 25 who have more than one. She encouraged me to try again whenever I'm ready. My partner is definitely ready to try again. I'm a bit more...hesitant. I really don't want to go through that stress again.
