2 years out; 5 weeks pregnant

I just found out I'm pregnant (about 5 weeks) and am so excited, scared, and nervous! I'm a little over 2 years out from VSG and wondering if anyone had any issues during pregnancy that you attribute to wls? So far I've had a little bit of nausea and breast tenderness, nothing too intense yet though.
I'm looking forward to having the support of this group throughout my pregnancy!

Hello and welcome aboard. Pregnancy after wls is not much different than pre wls. I have to pre wls and have a 10month old post wls. Preg went very well better than other two because I didnt carry around and additional 200lbs. I had rny so only different was vit levels each trimester and different type of glucose tolerance test for dumping issues but you should be fine with vsg. Good luck and heres to a happy and healthy 9 month

Congrats!  I got pregnant 6 months after my sleeve and had no issues what so ever.  Shouldn't be much of an issue.  Enjoy the ride!

If I wouldn't have had the sleeve I probably would have eaten my way back to pre-vsg weight! THe only problem I had was that I had GD and I had a hard time eating all the food they wanted me too. Other than that no problems! Congratulations!

Thank you all! I know I'll feel a lot better once I get to see my doctor, too!

Hey there! 2 years 4 months out and 5 weeks pregnant, Jan. 2014 baby as well. Would love to be in touch!

The main thing I'm scared about is developing a nutritional plan that will be good for the baby. Would love to receive any advice on that! ;)

I couldn't agree more! I have my first OB appointment next week, and will be asking about a nutrition plan. But, because I can still eat so little, I'm always scared I'm not eating enough!

Im 23 weeks pregnant now, due sept. :) June will be 2 years post op. so far everything is going great... My only issue recently is that my restriction seems to have increased in the last few days. I cant seem to get/keep 2oz protein down.... Going to try to switch to softer foods and see if that helps. Wondering if shes just crowding everything more?

will keep you posted!
